“Ein Tag im Leben von”, literally translated “A Day in the Life of” is the title of a legendary rubric in “Das Magazin”, the weekly magazine supplement of Zurich’s leading newspaper “Tages-Anzeiger.” Originally conceived by “Sunday Times Magazine”, this rubric presents a day in the life of someone–and provides an insight into the ordinary, mostly unspectacular but personal life as it is unusual to appear in the world of everyday news.
After more than 1300 weekly issues, this book gathers a selection of 200 portraits. The original layout and photographs – changing in style several time during the last 26 years – was reprinted as a facsimile in black & white. By putting the compilation in an alphabetical order and simply overprinting the names in a bright green, the two hundered selected portraits result in a vivid and trueful mirror of swiss mentality and provides highly addictive reading material for many days...
